Depression.

Depression can be a very misunderstood and difficult problem. It can ruin lives. Doctors don't seem to understand. And very often the help that they offer is limited to medication such as anti-depressants.

And if you are being treated for depression you can still feel that even on medication, although the symptoms are eased, you are not doing anything to cure it. And so you face a lifetime on medication, often with unpleasant side-effects. Most of the people offering treatment offer solutions which at best give you a means of living with your problem forever.

In fact, a lot of people are not even sure what depression is. And that includes many people who may be suffering quite badly from it! The World Health Organisation have a very good video which gives a good explanation of what Depression is. You can watch it here.

Many people suffering from Depression are afraid or embarrassed to even talk about their problem, for fear of being ridiculed or labelled. This is why organisations such as The Samaritans exist. And so the biggest problem in getting help with Depression, is finding someone who actually understands the situation. And someone that you can speak to in confidence.

The good news is, that Depression can be completely cured! And that is why it is so sad to read of the number of suicides in our society. This is a permanent solution to a temporary problem!

Sometimes the cause of Depression is some lost fear or thought, which is so deeply buried in the back of your mind that you have forgotten about it. But it is still having an effect on your feelings and behaviour. This CAN be uncovered and fixed. In other cases, simply bad thinking habits are the cause of feeling Depressed. But we get so used to our habitual way of thinking that we don't even notice what we are doing. These thinking habits CAN be identified and changed rapidly.

I specialise in getting to the root causes of Depression, removing them and thus removing the feelings of hopelessness which follow. This REMOVES the problem so that there is no further need for medication or any other coping mechanisms such as exercises, thought control, special routines, CBT or any other procedures.


In other cases it is more appropriate and only necessary to teach someone how to identify their negative thinking and change their thinking habits. After a brief chat, we would know which route is best for you.
